Gianny de Leu
WCM/WBC/ISKA/IFMA World champion -54kg
Gianny De Leu, also known as “The Lion”, comes from Belgium and fights in the -54 kg category in the sports of Thai boxing and kickboxing. Over the years, he has developed himself into a fighter who always gives the very best of himself, both physically and mentally.
He is a four-times IFMA world champion, in addition to which he has also held ISKA, WMC and WBC world titles. Each of these titles represents sacrifice, discipline and a determination never to give up, even when things are not going well. His style in the ring is built around explosivity, technique, endurance and tenacity.
One of the highlights of his career was winning the European Games, which confirmed his belief that hard work really makes a difference if you want to succeed at the highest level.
In addition to his chosen sports, he is also active as a top sportsman in the Belgian Armed Forces, where he displays the same mentality: discipline, respect and a continuing desire to grow.
For him, everything centres around that “lion” mentality: keep on fighting, never give up and always remain hungry for more.
Why does Gianny opt for TGA?
- As a top sportsman, my life is focused on discipline, recovery and performance. The things that I put into my body must be able to make me stronger, not weaker. TGA perfectly matches this vision: pure, high-quality and offering what an athlete really needs.
- As a fighter in the -54 kg category, it is crucial that everything is just right: energy, focus and recuperation. I only use products that I trust 100% – and TGA is one of them.
- For me, it is simple: to perform at the highest level you need to make the right choices and TGA fulfils my high expectations of it.
Gianny’s favourites
When you are a Thai boxer at the highest level, everything has to be right: power, endurance, recovery and focus. These are my favourite products, the ones that really make a difference for me in the ring:
Whey protein isolate
After heavy training or sparring sessions, this helps my muscles to recover quickly. In a sport where your body is constantly under pressure, fast recovery is essential if you want to train effectively every day.
Beta-alanine
During intense training or competition, you can feel the level of acidification in your muscles slowly getting worse and worse. Beta-alanine helps to stretch my limits just that little bit further, so that I can keep on pushing for longer when the going gets tough.
Creatine
For me, Thai boxing is also about explosivity: fast combinations, hard kicks and power. Creatine helps me to maintain my levels of power and explosivity, round after round.
Citrulline
This ensures better blood circulation and an increased oxygen supply to my muscles. This in turn means greater endurance, better performance and sharper focus, right through to the end of each round.
Electrolytes red fruits and mango
During training, I lose a lot of fluids and minerals. Electrolytes help to keep me hydrated, as well as allowing me to avoid cramps and keep my performance stable, even in long and heavy sessions.
